Letters to Autumn 2

Dear Autumn,


I had a plan to write you in Friday morning. But it was a busy morning, and a busy weekend. So forgive me for not doing so….

I left you Autumn, back in Germany, as it was a long weekend for us. School was out for two extra days, followed by the weekend. I flew down to Greece and attended a wedding of a childhood friend… Needless to say that you were not at all around in Greece.

So, last evening, I watched a good friend of mine get married to the girl of his choosing. And as I did so… it struck me, Autumn. I had this little flash back as the couple walked down the stairs, and all I saw was us, back when we were 6 and 7…Or 14 and 15. We were small, we were children playing games. And now, dear Autumn, we have grown. We are starting our own families…. How time flies by!!!

As I write this, I am boarding the plane back to Germany. I will see you soon, Autumn!
