Another destination, another post.

This last weekend, we hopped in the car with our little dog, Hermes, and took off to visit one of the towns close to the Eifel area of Germany.

Built along the river Mosel, Cochem is one of the first towns I visited in the past, that is when I first moved here to Germany, and I immediately fell in love with it.

It is one of the oldest towns I know and one with a couple of good things to go look at. On top of the hill, above the main city, Reichsburg Cochem had its first documentary mention in 1130. In 1151, it was occupied by King Konrad III, who declared it an Imperial castle. Later on, it passed over to the French, etc. I won’t ruin the history for you, for you might visit!
