We all get lazy sometimes. That means we get those days we are unwilling to do something and postpone things all the time. But do lazy days result in plenty of rest or are they just unproductive days? That is the question!
In my opinion, even though I end up feeling guilty about taking a day and being lazy, I have come to realize that such days work wonders. To begin with, a lazy day have reduced my stress (yes, I do get stressed. Work does that). During my lazy days, i love doing anything on my favourite to-do list. I avoid checking emails or work related things, I avoid my computer in general and instead of sitting in front of a screen, I love being in my pyjamas all day, take a nap in the middle of the day, read books, listen to music, play with my dog and eat good food.
Honestly, I do not feel unproductive at all. Sure, I do not focus on creating something for work, but that peace and quiet I find myself in help me pick up from where I left the next day and be even more productive!
Did you know that in some countries, National Lazy Day is celebrated? Colombia is one of those countries and it is believed that this National Day originated there when it was celebrated the first time in 1985.
