I’ve travelled quite a bit around Germany and I have seen most of the big cities on the Western part of the country. However, after this little summer trip, I come to the firm conclusion that Heidelberg is the most beautiful.
As history goes, most of the city is a museum of sorts. Beginning from the Castle at the mountainside and moving down on foo, you will see plenty. The old town, the Altstadt, is magnificent and it offers many shops for local delicacies and souvenirs.
